Eucalyptus Pilularis
A large hardwood in abundance in coastal forests between Bega, NSW and Maryborough, Queensland. Heartwood is pale brown; however, if sourced from the Northern region, it may sometimes have a slight pinkish tinge. Sapwood is distinctively paler.
The texture is medium and even. Grain is usually straight. Gum veins are common.
